The Welterbesteig Wachau (World Heritage Vista Point Wachau) is an extended walking route (180 km) linking the 13 communities of the UNESCO World Heritage site Wachau via the most beautiful walking routes and historic paths. The walking trail is planned as a vista point and mountain path taking you to unforgettable viewing points. The World Heritage Vista Point Wachau includes 20 castles, ruins and palaces, the wine-growing areas of Wachau (with their characteristic stone terraces and magnificent vineyards) as well as the Krems valley, three monasteries and Jauerling nature park (with the highest peak overlooking the River Danube – 960 m).

The walking route is divided into 14 stages and walkers can hike in both directions. The Jauerling Trail and three ferry connections (Rossatz-Dürnstein, St. Lorenz-Weißenkirchen, Arnsdorf-Spitz) offer a variety of different options to plan independent tours during your walking holiday.
